Actually it looks like it's hit the "Third Eye." There's a lot of mysticism elements that believe we have a spiritual eye right there. For a while the coincidental placement of the pineal gland right there, led fiction authors to speculate it was a vestigial remnant of a real eye, or a mystical organ we have blocked that allows us to use psychic/magic powers. Some of the stories were even good.
