Legendary Woodsman

Being large actually makes it a woodchopper's axe. Real battleaxes had smaller and lighter heads than woodsman axes. You want a lighter weapon that you can lift faster in combat, because if your opponent lifts his weapon faster then you're dead no matter how strong or big the axe is. While a woodsman taking two seconds longer to lift his axe isn't really a problem.

The better question is why is he half-naked and how does he intend to transport the tree once it's fallen.
