Either the skills learned are only good for a certain time ( could be a natural defense to keep from overloading info), or something/someone is putting some sort of power Disabler or dampener. If she had wings, they could have been stolen, but I don't think she even has them. Possible connection to the lady with the scales. Just throwing random guesses. BTW I really enjoy this comic
Thank you, nomad94! We'll need to explore Gabby's limitations in her abilities a bit more.
It seems obvious to me that it's a sort of psychic power. She picked up martial arts skills and Japanese language skills that they knew, and now that's she's away from them she doesn't have access to that info anymore. And remember, she was able to perform a move that the Woodsman knows way back in the first arc.
