Okay, I'm a bit confused. I thought they were stuck an orange car with a blue non-tanker semi-truck in front of that. How did they suddenly get behind an orange tanker truck if they were stuck in traffic on a one lane road?

Different bridge and you never see behind them, so one can assume they had enough leeway to turn around and find a another route.

This is good feedback. I need to do better on the establishing/environment shots for story telling purposes. Bordin is correct - they took a different path that got them closer to the danger.
