That's also the first movie I remember seeing, though in my case the rerelease during the 90's

My first movie was National Lampoon's European Vacation. I was most likely much too young for that movie. When you see kids at a screening of Hangover 3 and you ask yourself "what kind of parent takes a child to a raunchy comedy?" It could be the babysitter or a friend of the family. My parents don't go to movies.
The first movie that I *remember* seeing in a theatre was a horror movie, although I only remember it in a very disjointed manner because I think I kept falling asleep while my mom was watching it. (She sometimes took us to the midnight show on Friday when she couldn't find a baby-sitter.)
