Last Meal
Not really meant to be morbid:
If you knew that you would be dead later today, what would you choose for your last meal?

My father's lasagna with his secret pasta sauce. My mother's baked lemon and milk dessert. Both dishes I ate growing up.
knedliki and zeli
A czech dish my grandmother used to make, it's a way poor people made something useful with bread that had dried out. You take cubes of dried bread and wrap them in this egg/flour mixture making softball-sized blobs and boil them. When they are done boiling you slice them into something like an irregularly-shaped slice of bread.
You top this with zeli, which is part sauerkraut, part fresh cabbage, cooked together, and then you have pork roast with it (probably not something the aforementioned poor people added to it too often). You put a a knedli on the plate, pile zeli on it and then ladle drippings from the pork roast over it.
As you can imagine, there's nothing (American) quite like it.

I would probably want hamburger steak and eggs (sunny-side up with ketchup) with curly fries. I\'ve described it as the food that I\'ve eaten repeatedly and haven\'t got sick of yet.
